Capt. Shane Day
Captain Shane grew up on West Galveston Bay and has been fishing the bays, marshes, and gulf for over 30 years. His extensive knowledge of the seasons, tides, and bottom structure will help point you in the right direction to find fish. Capt. Shane prides himself in being both professional and personable and strives to make your time on his boat an unforgettable experience.
Freelance Captain/Mate
Capt. Shane day holds a USCG license with a 100 Ton Master rating, Shane is available for yacht delivery and billfish tournaments. He has years of experience on the Gulf of Mexico tournament circuit and Central America dead bait trolling.
The Boat
Captain Shane Day operates a fully restored 25′ Boston Whaler. The boat is powered by a 300 HP Suzuki outboard motor and the latest Garmin marine electronics. Also, a spacious T-top for plenty of shade is installed for the summer months.

Bay Fishing - $600
Bay trips consist of wade fishing shorelines or drift fishing over oyster beds. These trips can be for the serious trophy trout hunter or just to catch a mess of fish for a fish fry. We will be targeting speckled trout, redfish and flounder – artificial bait only.
Jetty Fishing - $650
On the Jetty trip we will be fishing with live shrimp and/or croaker. In early Spring we will be catching giant black drum. As the water warms up we will catch speckled trout and redfish, but you never know what kind of monster will get on your line out there!
Beach Front - $800
Offered June thru September. On these trips we target tarpon, bull reds, kingfish, jackfish, and sharks. We will fish however the conditions dictate – trolling lures, sight casting to pods of tarpon or drifting natural bait. This is primarily catch and release.
